A while ago I decided I wanted Ella to do crafts, and since I am not the creative teacher type I decided to ask my sister Abby, who is the creative teacher type, if she would head up a craft day every once in a while. She quickly agreed! So today we headed up to Abby's place in Ellensburg for this exciting event. This was actually the second one we have done, and we plan to do this every other week. Ella is always excited to go to HaileyKaris's house. (Hailey and Karis are two of Abby's girls but she refers to them as one). Sadie, Ella's other cousin was also there. It was an apple theme and the girls painted apples, made a name tag for their rooms that they decorated with foam cutouts, sang an Apple poem, and a few more things, ending the session by drinking apple juice. Ella does the crafts some, but is far more interested in playing with HaileyKaris's toys. Oh well at least they had fun.

Roc is too young to join in yet, but he had fun too!

Ella's First.....
Haircut!
You guessed it Jen and Stella! Last Friday Ella, Roc and I headed to Ellensburg for Ella's haircut. Abby knows a lady who does a good job with children's hair, and since every time I mentioned a haircut Ella cried, I thought that if we did it with her cousins it wouldn't be so bad. So after a stop at Starbucks, we headed to the hairdressers. Karis went first and sat in the chair and did not move or make a sound, Ella watched and seemed to be ok. Then it was her turn, we got her in the chair and from the third picture below you can see all was well, but then the cape was put on and she practically jumped from the chair. Rather than me leaving and letting Abby deal with it, I decided to hold her and did not make her wear the cape. She clung to me pretty much the whole time, saying "hold you" , which really means hold me. Hailey, Karis and Avery had a gift for her when she was done so Hailey would show it to her and was able to distract her for a few seconds hear and there. The hairdresser spent a lot of time on this and did her best to get it even despite Ella moving and clinging to me. I went for really short so we won't have to do this for a while and go through the drama again! I don't know who was more relived when it was over, Ella or Me!

A couple of before shots.
Looking relaxed at first, notice she is wearing her red boots, with pink pants. She loves these and wants to wear them with everything!

Almost done....
Finally done, posing with her cut hair and present, which was a book about getting a hair cut.

New Picture Frame
Now that we have lived in our house for almost 6 months, I have finally started decorating Today I got my pictures that I order from Costco. They are some pictures that were taken right after Roc was born and I have been wanting to put them together in a frame for a while now. I look at these pictures and just can't believe that Kevin and I have such darling children:)

My First Post
OK I decided it was time to start a blog. I enjoy reading other peoples blogs and there are many times Ella and Roc do something funny or cute or I get a good picture, and I think, I should have a blog so I can tell/show others. So here it is, a work in progress for now but I wanted to get at least one post done. Ella had a first something last Friday, and I must say it was quite an experience for both me and her. I am waiting on my sister Abby to send me the pictures then I will post one. Anyone want to venture a guess as to what this first might be...remember she is two now.
