I went into my room tonight and Ella was on the floor watching a video. What a gal.

Also we went to the doctor for her hand today and he said it is getting better and we can take off the bandage in a few days. Then I just need to watch her and if she does ok and it does not seem to bother her, then we can leave it off. He also said that there should be no permanent scarring but that it may red for a few months. Yeah for this!

Events of the last week or so

Here's a recap of what went on the last week or so.

I finally got another photo collage up. I got this frame from Red Envelope, which Hannah introduced me to. I made the mistake of getting glossy pictures, but these will do for now. My goal/plan is to switch out these pictures about every six months.

Saturday Kevin went to the Husky game. Since it was an evening game, Hannah and Rachael came over for dinner. We enjoyed hamburgers and fries from Smittys. (Trust us they are good) and Emmett enjoyed green beans. Can't wait to feed Roc baby food!

On Sunday we went up to my sister Abby's place for the first annual Hoefer Hoedown. You can read about this here or here. Also, here are a few pictures that I tookWhen we got back I was making some dinner and made the mistake of letting Ella sit up on the counter to watch me. I said don't touch the stove Ella it is hot. I said this about 3 times, which may have made her curious. Maybe I should have not said anything, but the second I turned around, what does she do. Touches the stove. The poor thing burned her hand. At first I did not think it was so bad, but after running it under cold water for a while I noticed some blisters, and thought, better call my dad. It is quite a wonderful thing having a Dr. in the family, He came over and said they were second degree burns. He had her soak her hand for over an hour (no easy task) but she had won a new book at the Hoefer hoedown so we read this over and over. Grandma (my mom) fed her some ice cream too. Then they wrapped it up on gauze bandages. She torn these off in the middle of the night! The next day we went to the Dr. who gave us a prescription and show us how to clean and wrap it up. We have to go to the Dr. every other day till it is healed. She is doing very well and is leaving the bandage on, and it does not seem to bother her too much, just when the bandages are being changed. I feel horrible about this and have learned my lesson!

Today Hannah and I went with children to the fruit stand near our house. They had a little pumpkin patch and a hay maze. It was fun and we may go back this weekend when there are more activities going on.

Finally a video...how a two year old turns off the lights.

In case you can't tell she uses a book.

Just kidding, I am not that crazy. Actually my darling sister in law Katie is pregnant and is due June 2. She is feeling just as sick as she did with Sadie so please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Congratulations Josh and Katie. We can’t wait for the new cousin to arrive!

Tummy Time

Unlike little Ella girl, my Rocky Boy (as Ella likes to call him)....likes to be on his tummy. He is getting better at holding himself up. Here are a few pics of the little darling.

Organizing

Oh my little Ella girl. The other day she proceeded to take all of Roc's onesies out of the basket and lay them on the floor in a neat pile. This is not unusual behavior for her as she has always liked to stack clothes. Then she took his socks and undid all the pairs and put them in a pile by the dresser. "what are you doing Ella" I said. She looks up at me and scrunches her mouth and nose as very seriously says "Organizing". Shortly after I noticed she had gotten into my desk and got out all the blank checkbooks and had them in two piles. Again I say what are you doing Ella. Again very seriously she says "Organizing" Oh what a girl. Its amazing how children can pick up on these big words and know somewhat know their meanings. Or maybe I just say this word too much... Now if only I could get her to "organize" her playroom we'd be in good shape.....

2 Months Old

So Roc had his two month check up today, we are actually 2 weeks behind, but I guess that is ok as is just has to be sometime within this month. The poor darling had to have 3 shots and they really upset him. Even the dum dum sucker did not calm him down, however he was thoroughly enjoying it before the shots. Before this though I mentioned to the Doctor that he seems to spit up a lot, and I probably would not even of had to mention this as Roc proceeded to spit up throughout the entire appointment. The doctor said he had reflux and prescribed him some medication so we will see if this helps.

On the up side he weighed in at 14.2 (90th percentile), slightly bigger (but equally as cute :)) than Emmett at this age, is 26 in (90th percentile) and head circumference is 16 (75th percentile). So I guess some of his food is actually staying in his stomach, so this is one less thing to worry about.

Talking Baby Boy

Roc has been starting to coo a lot more lately. A few days ago with Ella was laughing he almost starting laughing, so we have been working on this. He has not done it yet, but hopefully will soon!
