Here's a recap of what went on the last week or so.
I finally got another photo collage up. I got this frame from Red Envelope, which Hannah introduced me to. I made the mistake of getting glossy pictures, but these will do for now. My goal/plan is to switch out these pictures about every six months.
Saturday Kevin went to the Husky game. Since it was an evening game, Hannah and Rachael came over for dinner. We enjoyed hamburgers and fries from Smittys. (Trust us they are good) and Emmett enjoyed green beans. Can't wait to feed Roc baby food!
On Sunday we went up to my sister Abby's place for the first annual Hoefer Hoedown. You can read about this here or here. Also, here are a few pictures that I tookWhen we got back I was making some dinner and made the mistake of letting Ella sit up on the counter to watch me. I said don't touch the stove Ella it is hot. I said this about 3 times, which may have made her curious. Maybe I should have not said anything, but the second I turned around, what does she do. Touches the stove. The poor thing burned her hand. At first I did not think it was so bad, but after running it under cold water for a while I noticed some blisters, and thought, better call my dad. It is quite a wonderful thing having a Dr. in the family, He came over and said they were second degree burns. He had her soak her hand for over an hour (no easy task) but she had won a new book at the Hoefer hoedown so we read this over and over. Grandma (my mom) fed her some ice cream too. Then they wrapped it up on gauze bandages. She torn these off in the middle of the night! The next day we went to the Dr. who gave us a prescription and show us how to clean and wrap it up. We have to go to the Dr. every other day till it is healed. She is doing very well and is leaving the bandage on, and it does not seem to bother her too much, just when the bandages are being changed. I feel horrible about this and have learned my lesson!
Today Hannah and I went with children to the fruit stand near our house. They had a little pumpkin patch and a hay maze. It was fun and we may go back this weekend when there are more activities going on.
Finally a video...how a two year old turns off the lights.
In case you can't tell she uses a book.
The first post of many!

I'm totally laughing about that video! I also like the pic of Ella sitting on the pumpkin.
Aw, poor Ella! Auntie Stella sends hugs and kisses!
I am so glad Ella's ok. What a trooper! I agree, it must be great to have a Dr. in the family, especially when it's grandpa. The video is hilarious!!
OK I will try this again....very cute photos and very funny video. The girls are requesting a different video...the one of her touching the stove...they are so fascinated by this. We talk about it a lot and they feel so bad for Ella....and we missed her at the party but we saved her a treat bag..
