Ok -so I am really falling behind. I looked at last year and my posts per month were way more than they have been this year! Better get blogging! For the first time ever, I decorated Easter eggs with the kiddos. We only did twelve as this was a practice year and they did have fun, however Roc thought it was more fun to squish the eggs rather than decorate them. Ella just happens to love the whites of the eggs plain and egg salad sandwiches so we had no problem eating the eggs afterward.
We celebrated Easter by first going to a Good Friday service at our church. I have never been to one of these before and really enjoyed it. It was a great service and I got a lot out of it. Poor Roc though, was not happy in the nursery and I was even paged once as he would not stop crying. Kevin took care of him for a while and then got him back to the nursery and he did ok for the rest. He is going through a bit of a clingy mommy stage-hopefully we will be over this before the new baby arrives!
Saturday morning, after ballet, we went to Emmett's second birthday party. Can't believe our little boys are almost two! The kiddos had fun decorating a Easter gingerbread house and we had a delicious Cobb salad for lunch. T
hen that afternoon/evening we had the annual kids and adults egg hunt at my parents. As usual they went all out on the eggs and the family Easter baskets. The highlight of the hunt is us adult "kids" get to do it too, and the eggs are full of money, as well as candy. Roc and Kevin hunted together and I went with Ella.
Sunday morning our church had a breakfast and Easter egg hunt for the kiddos. We amazingly made it there on time-8:15 am! It was a bit chilly so but they had a great time hunting for eggs. Since Roc had practice the night before he knew right what to do without help! Then we had a great church service afterwards.
Tuesday I had another ultrasound because they did not see everything they wanted to see with the first one. It was during Kevin's lunch break so he met me and the kiddos there. I was so nervous I would accidentally discover the sex it was hard for me to watch it too much-but we made it without finding out! It was fun letting Ella see the baby on TV! Both kiddos love to kiss and blow kisses on my stomach. Roc will say "baby" and kiss and pat my stomach. Ella loves to kiss it too and also likes to talk to the baby and wonder is she can hear her. She also tells me quite often "I like your baby, mommy" Pretty cute. Her new favorite names are Dora and Elizabeth.... She is still convinced that it is a girl. Jesus has told her this. She also is pretty confident that she has two babies in her tummy. She told me just the other day that God puts babies in tummies and he put two in hers :)
One more rambling thought, Roc loves to look at the trucks and motorcycles that go up and down the road below our house. He also loves to wave at everyone passing by, it is really cute but not a lot of people wave back-or even notice him. At least he is too young to realize this but for his sake if anyone drives by and we are out-we would love a wave back! He also really enjoys looking for the planes that fly overhead and as soon as he hears one he says "plane, plane" and is totally looking for it!
The first post of many!

Maybe next year I will be up for dyeing eggs with a toddler! Looks like you had fun though. We had fun on Easter too and I even found an egg yesterday that we had missed. Emmett loves looking out the window too, at all the vehicles that drive by.
Too bad we didn't leave our eggs with you. I tried egg salad and they gagged and spit it out. Nice.
Love the commentary of Ella and the babies!
The plane story reminds me of being in Ivory Coast. I hadn't been there long when a plane flew overhead one day. A little Ivorian boy looked up and shouted excitedly, "avion, avion!" (Avion is the French word for plane). It made me feel totally at home, as I realized kids are the same all over the world!
